Tanja Rechnitzer has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Philosophy at LUH since March 2021. She completed her PhD in philosophy in 2018 at the University of Bern with a thesis on the applicability of reflective equilibrium.
In her current research, she is concerned with questions such as: Can understanding be socially constituted in ways similar to knowledge? What role should experts and expert knowledge play in a democratic society? What do lay people need to understand about science in order to meet their epistemic and practical goals?
